More to come

Imagine being a slave – someone’s property.
You are forced to work all day, given poor food and housing, and obligated to obey your owner’s every command. To disobey means severe punishment.
You run for freedom and are pursued by violent men on horses who want to return you to bondage. Their tracking dogs can follow your scent. If they catch you, they can tear you apart or keep you from running until the men arrive.
If you are caught, you’ll probably be brutally whipped – the flesh on your back left in bloody shreds. You may be mutilated for life.
Still, you run and struggle to reach the soil of a free state.
Your chances of making it to freedom?
Probably very slim.
And, yet, still you run.
